Listed below are recommended service schedules for various models of BMWs from 1988 to present. Getting these services performed on your vehicle at the recommended times helps ensure that your car runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible, and can prevent costly repairs. Current Generation BMW 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 Series Cars
These vehicles recieve what is called Condition Based Service (CBS),
where the instrument panel will indicate when service needs are necessary.
We recommend standard oil and filter changes every 5,000 miles.
BMWs Late 1999 to End of Product Cycle:
Brake Fluid Flush every 2 years
Coolant Flush every 2 years
Power Steering Flush every 3 years
Oil Service every 15,000 miles between Inspections
Inspection I every 30,000 miles
Inspection II every 60,000 miles
Between each oil service and inspection service, we recommend standard
oil and filter changes every 5,000 miles.
3 Series from 1992-1999
(including Z-cars),
5 Series from 1992-1999,
7 Series from 1994-1999, and
8 Series:
Brake Fluid Flush every 2 years
Coolant Flush every 2 years
Power Steering Flush every 3 years
Oil Service every 10,000 miles between Inspections
Inspection I every 20,000 miles
Inspection II every 40,000 miles
Between each oil service and inspection service, we recommend standard oil and
filter changes. We recommend conventional oil changes every 3,000 miles, and
synthetic
changes every 5,000 miles.
3 Series from 1988-1992,

Timing Belt Replacement every 4 years (if applicable)
